CBD oil, my therapy plant

CBD oil has been making a magnificent entrance into the health and wellness scene last year, popping into all kind of different marketing products as the new hot ingredient to feel superb. But let’s be honest, this new elixir is more than a beauty trend, it actually changes and improves significantly the life of many suffering from serious medical conditions.

So, what do we know so far about this miraculous oil?

CBD oil is the short cut for Cannabidiol, found either in hemp or marijuana plant. Because hemp products are legal everywhere in United States, many brands only use and talk about the hemp plant oil. It was discovered 79 years ago, in 1940 (yes, you read it right^^). This little component is one of the 113 cannabinoids identify in the plant and more importantly, CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it won’t affect your mind, you won’t get “high”.

Today, not only studies from all around the world support the use of this natural oil by finding evidences that it can help and relieve inflammation, pain while producing calming effect in patients but also, we can find thousands of testimonies from desperate families explaining how this power plant oil has changed their life forever mostly treating their chronic pain, anxiety, sleep disorder or even seizures, including epilepsy. While we don’t know yet the full potential of this elixir, scientists are finding more evidences that the oil can treat some skin disorders linked to inflammation such as psonasis, eczema or even acne which is why the beauty industry is having a recent interest into the hemp plant introducing it in face creams, serums and body lotions.

Should I try it and for how long time?

Like any supplements or vitamin routines, CBD oil needs to be experienced as a personal level, some will appreciate the relaxing feeling or notice some improvements in their daily struggles others won’t feel the need for it.

The amount of time to notice changes internally depends on numerous lifestyle factors. To start with, we recommend to experience the product for a month, which is in general the dosage contained in the packaging (once a day for a month).

So why so much controversy?

It is because of the other well known cannabinoid present in the plant: THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) which is the “high” component that affect your mental.

CBD is said not to contain THC, in fact, during the extraction process, THC can still be found in the oil but the percentage is so negligible (0.3% legal rate) you won’t be affected. But because of the lack of regulations and controls on this new product, it is important to choose the right brand.

Here are our recommendations: (tested for a month and approved)

We chose these brands based on their notoriety (how long time are they in business?), on reviews/testimonies from customers and on their lab results/analisis published to insure and understand what we are buying.

1- Highland Pharms: products contain the full spectrum of cannabinoids (like CBD, CBG, CBN…) along with all the hundred of phytonutrients without THC, removed, of course.

2- Charlottes’s Web: products contain only CBD extract.

3- Pure Hemp botanicals: Products contain only CBD extract. Sold in capsules containing the liquid oil.
